Afternoon tea in London

学園通信

I had an afternoon tea in Covent Garden with my friend last Wednesday. We studied the history of tea during the course on Wednesday, so I wanted to go to the afternoon tea, so it was a good opportunity.

First of all, we were planning to go to BB-bakery, but we forgot to make a reservation, so we could not go there. Fortunately we found another café to have the afternoon tea. That shop is called Patisserie Valerie.

This shop was first opened in Frith Street in London’s Soho in 1926 by Belgian born Madam Valerie. She came to London on a mission to introduce fine Continental Patisserie to the English. It was a really lovely retro café shop.

Tea, scones, éclair, cakes and sandwiches everything was good. In addition, the price was quite reasonable for students. Unfortunately, I could not eat all of them, because it was too much for me.

If I have a chance, I would like to go to this café again.

I strongly recommend it to you!
